First

That’s the name of our destination today “First” with plans for another walk.  I bowed out, not wanting to take any risks.  But I travelled all the way with them, just missed out on the walk itself.

On to the cog railways again up and down some very steep inclines from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg, where we changed trains to reach Grindelwald.  From there it was a long cable car ride to First.  Needless to say, the journey is all part of the spectacular experience.

Julie, Terry and Alan left on their walk while I went back down to Grindelwald to await their return by bus a couple of hours later.  Seems I missed out on some pretty spectacular views.

Meanwhile back in Grindelwald ... ... the scenery here isn’t too shabby either!
