Exercise then a Spa Bath

Huge walk today - totally unplanned - Over to the other side of the river to Buda to the Gellért Hill area.  Starting with the Cave Church (not exactly photogenic) then a simple walk up the hill to the Citadel.  Or so we thought.

The climb was thought on rough paths zigzagging up the steep hill, but the route was not signposted at all well - we even got lost on the return journey.  Great view at the top - and we certainly paid for it.

The statue at the summit can be seen from most parts of Budapest.

It has been a hot day, so by the time we returned to sea level we were ready for something more relaxing.  The Gellért Thermal Bath was calling at the bottom of the hill.  Of the many baths here, this one came highly recommended.

Interesting experience.  Not a cheap outing by the time we paid for towel hire, a private cubical, and swimming caps (obligatory if we wanted to swim in the inside pools).  We tried them all!

That should take care of all my ills!
