Sweltering London
The UK’s hottest summer in 30 years! It’s great just about anywhere but London! Phew!
The crowds were huge! We glimpsed the river, but couldn’t see through the crowds to find a way OVER the bridge.
And found some cooling ale!
Strolled along Bond Street, but didn’t bother with the shops - unlike some - there was even a queue for Gucci
But no nightingales in Berkeley Square! Pretty though.

The crowds were huge! We glimpsed the river, but couldn’t see through the crowds to find a way OVER the bridge.
Gave that up as a bad job. Big Ben and Parliament House are behind scaffolding, so could find no reason to hang around here at all. Hopped on a bus heading for Hyde Park. A much better idea. It was a joy to get away from the crowds, but that wasn’t curing our thirst either. Found ourselves snooping around the picturesque narrow roads of Mayfair.
