Hartlepool Quay
We’ve been down to the Quay many times but never visited its focal point: The National Museum Royal Navy where the HMS Trincomalee is docked. This is a classic British frigate - built in 1817 belonging to the Royal Navy. In 1990 it was brought from Portsmouth on a barge and restored over a period of 15 years in Hartlepool.

Above AND below deck!

We whiled away a couple of hours poking around the recreated dockside shops. Quaint - picturesque, and surprisingly quiet for a sunny Monday at the start of the school holidays.

Now a “living museum” providing a hands on experience and fun for young (and old)!!!
